Dismissal

All parents must pick up their child(ren) promptly when school ends at 3:50 P.M.  Parents/guardians MUST strictly follow these simple rules in order to assure the safety and security of all students:

  • Do not use the most southern row of parking spaces or the southern most lane – these are reserved for the employees and guests of other organizations who are housed in our building.
  • Be sensitive to others who might need to enter or leave the parking lot on business other than school business – let’s do everything possible to help minimize the impact of our procedures on their lives.
  • All students must be picked up in designated areas.  There will be no curbside pickup from Mound Avenue.
  • There will not be any staff supervision after 4:00 for the remaining students, so it is extremely important for you to have arrangements for picking up your child on time.
  • During in-door dismissal parents are not allowed within the school building.  Please – remain in your vehicle.  Staffers will only page students when beside parent vehicles.

 If your child is not picked up by 4:00 P.M., you will be contacted by the City of Racine Police Department.  PLEASE NOTE:  the Police may take the child to the police station.

Dates: July 14th - July 31st 

Time: Monday - Thursday Only / 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Location: 21st Century Prep. School

4K & 8th grade students do not attend summer session. 

Summer session is for returning students only.  New

students need to attend one Gear-Up session held

each Tuesday from 8:30 am - 10:00 am.

The YLA Program - Tuesday, June 3, 2014

The YLA Program will be ending for the school year on June 12th.  Click here for their Young Leaders Summer Session Application.  They are currently receiving enrollment application.  The program is six weeks long starting on June 23rd. Click here for a schedule of events.

 
Civil War Reenactment - Monday, June 2, 2014

2nd – 8th grade students will have the opportunity to learn what life was like during the Civil War Times. Historical Timekeepers, a reenactment group will be sharing their knowledge with us. This event will be held on Thursday, June 5th at Island Park. Students will get to experience a naval cannon that was used during the Civil War and  fashions of the time. They will learn about Belle Boyd, flags of the confederacy, soldier’s life, and the US Sanitary Commission.

 
Revised Discipline Matrix - Friday, January 31, 2014
Our discipline matrix has been revised.  The revised matrix is an amendment to the parent/student handbook.  This revised copy supersedes the current discipline matrix that is located in the handbook.  To read more about this click here. 
Volunteers Wanted - Thursday, January 9, 2014

The school is in need of clerical volunteers to perform the following tasks:

Filing, sorting, making file folder labels, and organizing documents.  The department would be in Food Service and the Front Office Desk.

College Wear - Tuesday, November 26, 2013

Every last Friday of the month is college wear.  A letter was sent home a month ago about spirit and college wear.  College wear is not earned but allowed for every student to participate in.  Students are allowed to wear the colors of the college their classroom selected, as provided below.  This listing is also posted on the school's site.  If students do not have the colors, they may wear a uniform polo or spirit wear.
